Accessibility is limited due to the historic and steep layout of the island. While the shuttle is accessible, the abbey and upper village involve many stairs. We recommend contacting us in advance to discuss accessibility needs.
Pets are allowed in certain areas but not inside the abbey or most museums. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Shuttle buses (Passeur) do not allow pets unless they are in a carrier.
Wear comfortable walking shoes, as the cobblestone streets and steps can be slippery. Dress in layers and bring a windbreaker — weather can change quickly, even in summer.
Yes, there are luggage lockers available near the entrance of the mainland parking area. Lockers are not available on the island itself.
